Dear Sickness,

Dear Sickness,
Please go away.  We no longer want you in our home.  We have had enough of runny noses, coughing, puking, ear aches, mono, strep throat, and everything else.  Please leave immediately.

Sincerely,
The Munchkins' Mama, Aiden and Jaylee

Army Men, Target Box and Coupons

When we had the blizzard last week, Aiden and I did some online shopping.  He wanted an army man costume, and we found one on clearance at Target.com for pretty cheap.  They also had a Shrek and Rex costume.  Well the box came today, and Aiden was so excited to see his new costumes when he came home.  The army man was his favorite!  He was a little upset that a Jessie (from Toy Story 2 and 3) costume was not in the box.  I told him that I was sorry, but Target didn't have one on sale.  So he went over to my coupon container, grabbed a Chili's coupon, and said, "Just use this Momma!"  It was priceless, can you tell I'm a coupon queen?  I've taught him all I know about saving money :)

When Life Hands You Lemons...

You make lemonade...right?  That's how the saying goes.  So when life hands you mono, I guess all you can do is rest...or so I have been told.  After five days of dealing with what the doctor (not my normal one) thought was Strep throat, I went back to the doctor (mine this time) and it turns out I have Mononucleosis.  NOT what I was wanting to hear!  So I have taken the whole week off of work, and have dedicated it to sleeping and resting so that I can get better faster.  I have come to the conclusion that resting is hard!  My friends, family, and coworkers have been great.  And I appreciate everything that everyone has done!

Snow Day #2

Another day home from work for me, and another day home from Charlotte's for the kiddos!  Jaylee enjoyed her breakfast so much:

Aiden took one look at her and said, "She is a monster, Mommy!"  After throwing her in the tub and getting her clean, Aiden said, "Now she is a princess!  Let's find her a princess dress to wear today!"

Snowmageddon 2011

Well, we survived the snow last night.  School was dismissed at 1pm yesterday, and by 1:30, I was on the road to pick up the kiddos.  Going there wasn't too bad, but on the way back the roads were already starting to drift.  We made it home, and haven't left since!  I had some great helpers last night and this morning shovel and snow blow for me...Thanks Fords and Green Tractor Man!!!  Aiden was dying to go outside this morning.  The second Sis was down for her nap we were bundling up to go outside.  We didn't stay out long, we just surveyed all of the snow, walked through a couple drifts, and took a few pictures.

Baked Beans and Bath Bombs

Aiden is one of the funniest little boys. Sometimes it is hard to keep a straight face when he has done something he wasn't supposed to, because it is so darn funny. Today was no exception. Early this morning he figured out how to download apps on the iPad, so I had to quick figure out how to put restrictions on to block him from purchasing something expensive! Shortly after, he decided the mint chocolate chip ice cream needed to be pink, so he dumped in his yogurt... Then for dinner I made chicken, potatoes, and baked beans (Aiden's request). Well all he wanted to eat was the baked beans... Now he is sitting in the bathtub begging for a bath bomb for his "hot bath".  What a pampered little toddler!
