First Braid

Last week, Jaylee had her first braid!  I was so excited, I love doing other people's hair...if only she would sit still for a little bit longer...

Squirrel in the Fireplace

Last week we noticed a critter was trying to build a nest in the fireplace.  At first we thought it was a bird, but Chad later saw it was a squirrel.  On Sunday while we were watching the race, it made another appearance.  We saw it was fat and concluded it was pregnant, and that we needed to get it out before it had babies.  Chad read on the internet that it needed to be trapped.  Of course Farm and Fleet was closed!  We went to Walmart, and the only thing they had was a fish basket.  Chad thought it might work.  We put some corn in the bottom, and hung it in the fireplace.  The next morning I went down at 5:00 AM and no squirrel.  I went downstairs to grab a sweater at 6:20 AM and she was trapped!  I couldn't believe it!  We took the squirrel still in the basket outside right away.  I definitely didn't want it to get loose again!  As soon as it touched the ground, the squirrel tried running around in the basket.  It was hilarious.  The squirrel was later taken far from Geneseo, we didn't want her coming back.  So glad that she is gone!
