Happy Halloween!

Change of Plans

I was very excited that I was going to be able to blog about Boo-tiful Saturday in Geneseo.  This is when kids trick or treat at participating businesses.  Unfortunately, Aiden and I got sick and couldn't go :(  Not a very fun Saturday!  Maybe next year!

Fright Write Night @ GMS

Last night Builder's Club sponsored, Fright Write Night.  The kids could wear their costumes and participate in different writing activities.  It was packed!  The kids had a great time!

Pumpkin Patch and Carving

On Saturday afternoon, traveled to "The Great Pumpkin Patch" with our friends.  We rode the train, looked at the animals, made it through the corn maze, and picked out pumpkins to take home and carve.  It was a fun day!

Last Home Soccer Game

Every Thursday night, Jaylee, and Aiden would hop in the stroller and I would push them to watch the high school boys play soccer.  We went to cheer on Shawn D, and would usually lave at half time.  Aiden's favorite part of the games is when they announce, "Let's play some soccer!!"

Halloween Costumes

Aiden and Jaylee's costumes have been chosen.  Aiden had a decision to make...Spiderman or SuperWhy.  After much discussion, and viewing the Spiderman costume at the store, Aiden decided to go with SuperWhy.  This is currently his favorite TV show.  Jaylee didn't have a choice.  I saw a cute cupcake costume on sale at Old Navy and made the decision for her.  Maybe next year she can help pick out her costume.

Columbus Day Trip to Niabi Zoo

It was a gorgeous day to head to the zoo!  Aiden wanted to take the wagon and pack a lunch, and that is just what we did.  What a fun morning!  The highlight was feeding the giraffes.  I don't have any pictures of Jaylee and Aiden feeding them as I was helping as well.  They had a blast feeding them lettuce.

Mom VS Pink Lemonade

Yesterday after church Aiden wanted to eat lunch at Culvers.  After ordering and getting our drinks we sat down.  I was in the process of putting lids on the kids' drinks when Aiden's pink lemonade spilled...all over my lap.  I was wet, sticky, and cold. Luckily, I was wearing black pants so it didn't look TOO bad...  As soon as we got home I changed and showered because I was SOOOO sticky!

That night, Aiden wanted a snack before bed.  We had made a pitcher of pink lemonade the day before, and of course that was what he wanted.  I quickly put it in a cup and put a lid on it right away!  After handing him the cup, I went to put the glass pitcher back in the fridge.  I reached for it and it slipped through my hands and shattered into thousands of pieces on the floor...along with a pool of sticky pink lemonade.  Pink Lemonade won that day!
