Icing
Conversation at breakfast time...
Me: What do you want for breakfast, Aiden? Donuts? Pancakes? Yogurt?
Aiden: I want icing.
Me: Icing isn't a breakfast food, you can't eat it plain.
Aiden: I want it in my mouth. With sprinkles
Yeah, the sprinkles would probably make it a breakfast food....

I'm bored...
I heard those words at 8:30 this morning from Aiden... This is after we at breakfast, went for a walk, and played in the water table. It is going to be a long summer! I'm thinking he is used to playing with other kids. I'm going to have to set up some play dates ASAP!

Catching Equipment
Aiden said, "Mom, when I play baseball and I'm a catcher I'm gonna wear stuff. What I gonna wear?"
I explained that catchers wear helmets with masks to protect their head, nose, teeth; shin guards to protect their ankles, shins, and knees; and chest protectors to protect their chest and stomach.
"And boobs!? I have little ones." He replied and exclaimed.
Never a dull moment :)

Pickles
As I was making Aiden a hamburger for dinner on Sunday, "Can you warm up my pickles, Mom?" :)
What a memory!
So before bed last night it was meltdown time for Aiden. I had just got him settled into bed when he realized (at 9:00 PM) that he had left his baseball stuff outside in the back yard. This was confirmed as he ran to the window crying hysterically. I told him that it would be ok outside all night...he wasn't too convinced and after many tears he went to bed.
Fast forward to this morning, the first words out of his mouth this morning were, "Is my baseball stuff still there?" I told him it was and that he could go get it since the sun was out. "All by myself?"
"Yep!" He was a happy camper.
